Fine Lines/Dark Circles
CAUSE:
Fine lines around the eyes are caused by age, smoking and the sun. "Dark circles can be caused by a lack of sleep, heredity, the architecture of your eyes and the translucency of the skin under your eyes," says N.Y.C. dermatologist Laurie Polis, M.D.
SOLUTION:
Eye creams with vitamin K, which is said to heal bruises, may help if the darkness comes from ruptured blood vessels -- which can occur with repeated trauma (think excessive rubbing). "Use an eye cream containing light-reflecting particles, or learn to camouflage," says Polis.
