Iodine

Caring for Oily Skin

Use a sunscreen that is not oil based, preferably a gel, as it's less greasy. Be sure to use a minimum SPF of 15.

If you have breakouts, use a cleanser with salicylic acid to help exfoliate pores. There are also moisturizers that contain salicylic acid.

Think of fragrance in terms of a triangle, with the notes divided by molecular weight," says International Fragrance Consultant Ann Gottlieb. "The lighter notes (fruity, citrus) are at the top and are meant to diffuse much quicker, so they're the first ones you smell. Next are the middle notes (florals, spices) which are somewhat heavier but less volatile, so they stay around a little longer and are the second thing you smell. Finally, base notes (musks, woody notes) are the heaviest and therefore stay with you the longest" explains Gottlieb. "However, as this is happening, one scent evolves into the next one so a good fragrance blends as it wears and you always get a whiff of each level.
